KK Security (Uganda) Ltd was registered in 1995 to offer specialised security solutions to a large stand-alone corporate base which required a dedicated management and support team.
Since then the company has enjoyed significant growth establishing a strong presence and a respected name in the security industry, not least as a result of the Company’s commitment to the principal of unarmed guards.
KK Security is successfully breaking the mould in the provision of manned guarding in Uganda. In a society accustomed to seeing private security personnel armed with either a shotgun or rifle, KK has pioneered the concept of well-trained, properly equipped, unarmed Security Officers. Our mission is to demonstrate that more weapons do not result in better security, and most certainly not in the hands of poorly trained and poorly regulated individuals: it results in more injuries and death. Uganda needs a new approach.
The KK Security doctrine acknowledges, however that there is sometimes a need for armed security but is staunchly of the belief that firearms should be in the hands of those who are best trained to use and maintain them, notably authorized Government security organisations such as the Police and the Armed Forces. To accommodate this, KK Security’s fleet of Mobile Response Vehicles include armed Uganda Police officers as part of the team, a pragmatic solution to a practical concern.
With offices in Kampala, Gulu and Jinja plus a number of large and small assignments across the country the Company has ambitious plans for roll out into other major towns across Uganda as part of our client driven development programme.
KK Security offers a professional, high quality and client focused service which includes, manned guarding, alarm services, mobile rapid response, technical security solutions, dogs, security escorts, airport reception service, emergency evacuation planning and much more.
Indeed, this commitment to quality and service delivery saw the Company receive the prestigious Ani Mukozi quality award in 2008-2009 and then again in 2009/2010 having been voted Best Private Security Firm by the people of Kampala in conjunction with the 120,000 strong Kampala City Traders Association (KACITA) and endorsed by the Uganda Government Statutory Bodies.
The Company has in excess of 1,000 security officers working on assignments including UN Agencies, Diplomatic Missions, NGOs, Hotels and a number of commercial and residential clients both large and small.
